Expensive for what it is
I played there in August 2024 with my son (I had played it a couple of time previous). For starters, for a guest visitor it is £80 a round! We went after 4pm and it was still £60 a round. I think that is far too expensive for what it is.
The course itself is pretty featureless, aside from the views over Fistral beach. There are no trees and no lakes, but plenty of bunkers and it is more hilly than it looks.
The fairways were ok as were the greens (although a little variable in pace). I was bit disappointed to face some weeds in a fairway bunker which meant my ball stuck at the top of the bunker instead of rolling down to the base of it (causing me to waste a shot playing out sideways). Not something you should expect for the green fees.
The staff were very nice as was the buggy we hired with built in sat nav (although it should be for £35 a round and it nearly ran out of charge).
In summary it's a nice enough course, with those lovely sea views, but I think the green fees are set way too high for visitors and because of this if I ever find myself in Newquay ever again (although not likely with the frequent terrible weather there and expensive pubs) I will not be back playing here.

Great course with fantastic views
If you are in the Newquay area in Cornwall give this great course a try. Sea views from every hole. Quite easy in calm conditions but a real challenge if windy.Reviewer Rating

great value seaside golf
This course makes the most of the relatively small pocket of land in front of fristral beach. Good mix of holes and conditioning of the greens was very good. Worth a visit if you're staying local and looking for some good value golf.Reviewer Rating

golf by the sea.
for the time of year [Nov 1st] the course is in lovely condition. the pace of play let us down tho as we were out after a club comp and playing behind two frail old gentlemen whose pace of play was the slowest ive ever seen.(Round played: Nov 2021 - Score: 94 Handicap: 18.4)

Classic seaside links
Great course with a whole host of challenges. Greens run very well and with hidden bunkers, very deep bunkers and run off areas the course is a joy to play. Jules in the pro shop is a great help. The car parking is private so ensure you give car reg to pro shopReviewer Rating

Tough course great surroundings
Really tough course to review, played on late summer afternoon great conditions and surroundings overlooking Newquay beachesProblem with this is you play around 6/7 holes over and through a public footpath that crosses the course which is often a blind shot and at times hugely distracting as public are laughing drinking chatting making concentration impossible
Same goes for hotels around the turn
Greens fab, some huge huge bunkers some 5ft deep and uncannily finds them like a magnet on sloped fairways and rough extremely challenging
Tough course and would play again to try and master but perhaps on a quiet non peak day

Great course, needs signs
We managed to pick a very hard day to play links golf, high winds and driving rain made conditions tough. But we enjoyed the course and everyone we met was friendly, especially in the pro shop. Glad we had buggies to give us some respite, but not the easiest of courses to find your way round, so some signs would be good.Reviewer Rating

Super links course
This course is on the edge of Newquay and next to Fistral Beach. The practice facilities are not great and the net definitely needs sorting out. The practice green was good and we even watch the green keeper ironing the green. The course is really good fun and you can see the sea from most of the holes. The only downside I could see was the path that runs through the course and affects a few holes (such a pity this can't be covered over). The bunkers are tough and deep, you will drop shots if you go in bunkers and the ball with gather towards some of them. There is not much rough on the course, there doesn't need to be. The greens were very good, a nice consistent pace and the ball rolled true.Reviewer Rating
