What the club says: Founded in 1980 by Lord and Lady Moyola and opened by Seve Ballesteros, Moyola Park Golf Club is set in the beautiful wooded parkland of Shanemullagh, a Georgian House occupying 130 acres. A golf designer's dream, it has been transformed into the present course by well-known Ulster golfer Don Patterson and Landscape Architect Alan Smith, who have succeeded in blending the layout of the course with the rural parkland location. It is widely considered one of the best parkland courses in Northern Ireland with every hole featuring a different layout requiring a variety of shots to challenge and delight every golfer whatever their handicap.

Great value and a good challenge

Well worth a visit. Lovely parkland course. Easy to get too, good food and clubhouse and fast pace of play. Greens are in excellent condition too!

Fantastic Course worth a visit

We played this course after a horrendous storm and I expected to find a few trees down, but they're well rooted trees and the course was in excellent condition. Luckily I did manage to par the signature hole on this course, the stroke index 1, par 4, eighth, in fact i nearly birdied it with my approach shot, finishing less than two foot from the hole, I was well chuffed I can tell you!

Challenging course

On the day we visited, Thursday 27 July, they had been a lot of rain in the previous 24 hours and there was a lot of casual water on the course and the ball was picking up a lot of dirt, which meant the golf was challenging to say the least. But otherwise the course was in great 'nick' and the greens were as always, tricky. Despite there being a large society out in front of us, we were only out on the course just over 4 hours and we managed to get our food in plenty of time!

One of the best parkland courses around. It's fairly long but very playable. Always in superb condition. the signature 8th hole is one of the best holes in Northern Ireland in my opinion.
We didnt eat there this time but in the past the food and bar have always been very good and extremely friendly people.
