What the club says: Designed by Harry Colt in 1923 to blend into the grounds of the estate, the courses combine challenging golf holes - ideal for competition, practice or tuition. The High Course plays host annually to the Hertfordshire Stag, as well as regularly welcoming such events as the Carris Trophy, County Championship and English Seniors Open.

Nice course - worth a visit
Nicely laid out, guide hilly and played on a very wet day. Fairways very sticky but greens still true and remarkably fast. Must be very difficult in summer!Reviewer Rating

Stunning clubhouse with great facilities. We played the high course which is a challenging parkland course with lots of ups and downs. The greens were lightning quick and the fairways slopey.

Always a pleasure!
This is one of those courses you're always happy to be able to play. Steeped in heritage and sculpted into the natural beauty of the surroundings it never fails to make you say wow.. Add to that the course is spectacular, in amazing condition at all times and a teat to play.Reviewer Rating

The greens and fairways were in excellent condition when I played. There are 2 courses available, and both offer a variety of holes to keep things interesting.

Played the west course. Greens were much better than I was expecting, seeing as they were sanded a few days before. Public bar very small. Lovely coffee and rolls tho. And the halfway house is very nice.
