What the club says: Marsden Park Golf Course was first opened in 1968 and was then redeveloped in 1976. It is now offers eighteen unique holes, measuring 5989 yards par 70. The course offers fantastic panoramic views of the extensive surrounding countryside of Lancashire and is laid deep in the foothills of Pendle. A fantastic test to all abilities of golfers and a course certainly to be played!

I have played Marsden Park a few times over the years, this was by far the worst condition I have seen it in. Multiple bunkers unkept and full of various plants growing out of them, fairways covered in cut grass, not just little bits, literally mounds of it all over the course, a curse when I did hit the fairway only for the ball to be sucked in by the nest of grass. No notice of the 4th being a temp green. The greens, uneven grass cuts, patchy and brown on many, covered in grass cuttings as per the fairways. Used to be great value for the money alongside Townley, but this was a very surprising visit, a real shame to see it in the condition it was in.

Great value friendly and welcoming
Played here on a Sunday morning - fairly quiet and no hold ups. Course in good condition despite recent rain and the greens were excellent. Back 9 is hilly but well worth the effort. Very friendly and welcoming club - members and staff alike, including and especially the bar staff! Highly recommended and excellent value.Reviewer Rating

Good for a pay & play
Very reasonably priced. Fairways in good condition greens a wee bit humpy but pro said due to be rolled when weather permits. Back 9 heather and brush allowed to grow a bit too much, having said that if fairways are hit rough wouldn't be mentioned. Good test even for experienced low handicappers. Unfortunately no food or drink available due to extensive work on clubhouse which overlooks 18th.Looking forward to returning in summer.

Great course. Tough back 9
Great little course in good condition and an absolute bargain. The front nine has some great holes, the back nine is more of a challenge. Need to get your scores while you can.Reviewer Rating

Great course, well kept fairways and greens, could with some directions/sign posts for a few holes but other than that I will be playing it again and I would recommend it ??????????

Playing under lockdown
Had a most enjoyable round. Obviously no 19 hole available but staff very friendly and the course is just getting better and better. Have played 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Will keep going back as well(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 16.5)

Brilliant and challenging course.
This course is excellent in all areas, very friendly staff, good prices for green fees and food. The food itself is very good quality. The course is always in good condition with good drainage, it is very challenging in a unique way which you'll find when visiting. I would highly recommend this course.Reviewer Rating

Friendly gem,great views
Currently in very good condition, fairways and greens firm and fast,2 loops of 9 holes with some memorable holes with great views.
Pace of play nice and quick, but the best thing of all is the warm and friendly welcome

friendly course

A gem of a course providing a fair challenge. Friendly club and sitting on the veranda after my round with a drink and some lunch capped a very enjoyable visit.
