What the club says: Lytham Green Drive Golf Course is a pleasant tree lined course which, although within a mile of the Irish Sea, still retains its parkland characteristics, and offers excellent facilities for visitors. Standing on each tee, the course definition is clear, with obvious hazards and boundaries. Our greens have a reputation for being quick, true, and exceptionally well kept.

Very friendly staff. The course was well presented. The speed of the practise green matched the ones on the course. Greens all ran true and bunkers had just the right amount of sand in (I was in rather a lot!). Fairways clearly delineated. A nice course with no contrived/artificial holes.

Lovely Parkland Course
A lovely parkland course in fantastic condition, greens all ran true, bunkers properly sanded. Friendly staff and pro team.best of all the speed of the greens was the same as the practise putting green

Very poor condition.
I played this course recently and would 100% NOT recommend to anyone.Firstly, you can not have a buggy after 2pm, something I have never come across. If you're unlucky enough to find one of the bunkers god help you. Take your old wedges as there is very little sand in them, you simply can not get your wedge under the ball without hitting the rock hard clay.
The greens are slow and flat, but also the cups have an upturned ridge around them, meaning you have to grenade your put, if you're a drop in putter you WILL see your ball get to the centre of the cup and roll sideways or as in my case in 2 occasions backwards. Pace of the play is extremely slow with members seemingly oblivious to the fact they should be letting people through. Average wait in the tee box for us was 7 mins.
After all that you want to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat with your friends, you are greeted to an old looking clubhouse with threadbare carpet, you can order a beer but no food as food finishes at 3!
Overall a truly awful experience, little facilities, with horrendous greens. Will never go back. Id much rather play a local municipal.

A fair weather course
I played the course after a heavy night's rain, so it was a little squelchy in places. The overall condition was good, greens running consistently with just a few bunkers unraked or waterlogged. I think the course would be a fairer test in drier weather as there was no run on the ball on any of the fairways due to the damp ground conditions and it played fully to its yardage because of this.
