What the club says: The 6341 yard par 71 course is situated between the picturesque village of Lymm and the Manchester Ship Canal. The characteristics of the course vary from the heath-like top eight holes alongside the canal to a classic parkland layout nearer the village.
Lymm is proud to have played host to several prestigious events in recent years including the English Seniors Amateur Open, the Cheshire Seniors Open and County Matches. Come along and test yourself against our course.

Nice course worth playing
First time playing Lymm GC in one of their open events. Friendly welcome in clubhouse and pro shop, everything well organised. Good practice facilities. To be honest course was quite scruffy in areas especially the front nine, grass some fairways was long and hard to define from semi rough, not sure whether that was intentional as it gave it a moorland feel to it, didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of playing the course. The back nine different story, well kept fairways and greens seem much better and truer. Was impressed with the layout of the course, relatively flat and some long par 3s. NIce clubhouse with patio to enjoy well earned beers in the late afternoon sun. Would certainly play again sometime.Reviewer Rating

Decent track, but.....
Played in Jan 2022 and enjoyed the course in decent weather considering the time of year, some good holes but ?40 ?special offer? price in winter is over-priced. Food in the clubhouse was standard fare, but again nothing special.Reviewer Rating

Ordinary with a few nice holes
A pleasant course but no wow factor. Used Open fairways so £40 for a 2 ball - which was spot on value - it is certainly not a £40 course. Pretty tight in places so Greens close to some tees a few boring up and down holes but a few i really enjoyed. The 3rd is very good test but beware the players below you on 11th (arguably the tee could be moved further right to avoid th danger!?). The signature 6th along the ship canal is very nice and worth a photo. The short 9th is a nice looking one shotter. The 11th is a good hole -very tight and the 12th is pretty tree lined par 5. Nice elevated tee on 15 and the 16th is a brute - the only really tough hole.A nice course. I've not played it for 25 years. I'll play again but not in a mad hurry

Cracking course
Played for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Playing like a links as was so dry due to the weather. Not sure it would be so links like if it was green. Tough challenge especially the front nine but still forgiving if wayward at times. Not one bad hole on there. For ?18 it was a bargain will defo be back. Estrella on tap (although ?4.30 a pint :-(. )Reviewer Rating

Excellent condition. No "blind" shots so easy for visitors to follow
We were a mini-society..........just 6 of us playing, so 2 X 3 players.Good points (of which there are plenty).
Fairways in excellent condition and cut just long enough to feel comfortable.
As per title.....no "blind" shots. I hate playing new courses when you do not know what is up ahead.
Bunkers were well placed so even high handicappers were not unfairly punished.
Club house is really nice with good choice of beers/lagers (didn't check prices).
One REALLY negative.........the green keepers...GRRHHHH .
First hole!!! our first 3 ball had completed it. Our 3 ball was on fairway when they came along with a trailer.....driving past us to our right. I SWEAR THIS IS TRUE......I had taken my (good) shot at the green when they, WITHOUT LOOKING, turned across us.....KNOCKING MY BALL INTO THE TREES and proceed to spray heavy dark sand all over our green. The sand was just left there for us to try and put over and unfortunately every green was affected the same way.
So!!!!! may good points but Lymn GC..please teach your green keepers some manners.
