Played at the weekend.
Can confirm the greens are pretty much the worst I have ever seen.
Shame because this course used to represent good value for money.

Nice course great value for money

We played midweek and got a good price, the course was is a good condition, however some greens were patchy and some tee boxes needed some TLC ... clubhouse/shop were good with friendly staff.

A good test

Not many easy flat lies. A good test of ability - and stamina for the walkers. A shame there is no driving range now, hopefully it will be resurrected, fair putting green.

Open again under new ownership

Much better than last time. Was a muddy field before. Now defined fairways and tees in better condition but need a bit more seed on some whilst other need a good cut. Greens, definitely need some TLC. too many bare patches and on other cracking up. Definitely worth another visit and at £18 can't really go wrong.

The course was in excellent condition on a sunny, hot day. It is quite a long, fairly hilly course, so a buggy is advisable, but it is definitely walkable if fairly fit. Many lovely, challenging holes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely play the course again.

Nice long course quite hilly

We played midweek and ?24 for the round, and the course was in a great condition apart from the numerous white flowers on the fairway which made it difficult to find your balls. Bar and shop were good, especially after a very long walk in the sun ... took over 4.5 hours.

Well worth a visit

I had not played this course in 20 years. I had low expectations which were much exceeded. The greens were in good condition - bunkers ok. Yes this place needs some investment on some tee boxes etc. £16 Senior rate after noon is great value.

Still in recievership

Course in need of maintenance. Greens are the only thing being maintained except for the occassional cut. No definition to fairways and plenty of worm casats make it akward to play on "clean" lies. Will need lots of TLC when get a buyer. However cost of round dirt cheap as a result of little work. Always a tricky longish course made difficult by conditions.

The course to ourselves

Literally the only ones daft enough to think it would be worthwhile playing today. The expected rain was a drizzle, no more. The course was a little boggy in places but overall it was worth the effort.

Played on a Sunday afternoon. Pace of play good. Greens were slow ??but understandable given changable weather over previous week or two. Plenty of interesting holes ??certainly on the longer side for a high handicapper, but it's fairly open so not too harsh on wayward shots (the long rough had been cut back recently too).

Couple of tee boxes in need of attention. But, for less than GBP30, it's a good-value round.
