What the club says: The course at Knaresborough is laid out over beautiful, gently undulating North Yorkshire countryside. Parkland in nature, with many mature trees and strategically placed hazards, it is a pleasure to play.
The holes and the course have just been further developed. In particular - the 8th a par 5 which provides an exhilarating drive from an elevated tee, the 13th hole, a dog leg left demanding an accurate well placed tee shot and the 14th hole, a long par 4 presenting a very interesting and testing undulating green.

Challenging beautiful park land course
Small but very welcoming pro-shop. The restaurant / bar in the club-house served an excellent bacon sandwich as well as good coffee. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were flawless, tricky greens but not crazy. All areas looked well kept both the rough and semi rough. The course is long, it is not extremely difficult but still quite challenging with several interesting dog-legs. Hole 8 has amazing views and hole 13 is a beautiful challenging fogl-leg left par 4, hole 15 is one of the most difficult par-4 holes you will find in Yorkshire.

Gordenio at Knaresborough Golf Course
I returned to Knaresborough for the first time since ore Covid and the recent layout changes on the back 9 have in my view improved the course. The course is in good condition but the fairways grass was longer than expected, probably down to the dry weather. There are a number of dog-leg holes and some very good holes. The greens were excellent and the pro shop, Bar/restaurant etc were very good and the staff pleasant and efficient.
All in all a very pleasurable experience and I would not hesitate to return.

Nice course, great greens
Knaresborough is a lovely parkland course with quick true greens that run out. However it doesn't have any standout holes, apart from the 3 par 3's which were all nicely shaped and set. 17th was a good par 5 but apart from that and the 15th green setting there isn't much to remember apart from it was a nice track(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 85 Handicap: )

Enjoyable, great condition, superb greens, warm welcome
This was a society day. We were given a warm welcome & looked after very well. The clubhouse has excellent facilities. The course is a nice parkland layout with plenty of hazards in the form of trees, bunkers & tricky raised greens, but it is also a fair test with plenty of opportunity to score well. There are a good mix of hole types that make it interesting. The greens were outstanding - fast (but not ridiculously so), receptive, true & a mix of flat & undulating & stepped that made putting a fair challenge.Highly recommended.

great condition
The course is currently in great condition. There are 3 holes which I feel ruin the course. The 10th the 12th and the 15th which need to be removed or re designed. My personal opinion probably because they always ruin my card.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 80 Handicap: 8.1)
