Course now a local nature reserve
A lack of users meant the council couldn’t afford to keep this open. Sadly the other public par 3 course, at Messingham Grange, has also closed. Best becoming a member of App Frod Par 3 or going as a guestReviewer Rating

I recently found out that this is not a golf course exclucisvely. I recently made a complaint to the North Lincolsnhire Council about people walking their dogs on the golf course and letting them defficate everywhere. Apparently Kingsway Golf Course is a public park where anyone can just step on and walk. It just so happens that there is a golf course in this park. This makes the course lose MANY points in my opinion. The Council did tell me however, that dog fouling fines still apply and anyone witnessing this should report it.
The greens are disgustingly slow and bumpy. Four of them are bare with hideous brown patches and mud. The second hole is just a joke. It is 200 odd yards up a 60 degree hill. It is almost physically impossible to land a ball on the green in one. It also slopes to the right so if you bounce the ball on the hill, it will kick right in to the out of bounds trees. Where it is very unlikely you will find your ball. This will destroy your confidence because even if you hit the ball well, you will be chastised with three off the tee.
The tee boxes are muddy with bare patches. And if you are lucky enough to find grass in the tee boxes, you will find that it is between three and five inches long.
The fairways however are okay. So make sure you find them on the par fours. Otherwise you will not experience the only acceptable parts of the course.
There is a little shop to buy refreshements and some new, lesser known brand, bottom of the range clubs. This is also where you pay your green fee. Or should I say local "full of dog excrement" park fee?
The toilet is well looked after though. So to get the most out of your fee, make sure you drink lots of water or have a massive meal before hand so you can experience the only other acceptable part of the course.
To the credit of Kingsway Golf Course, it is a good place to learn the game, or even practice. But a lot of work needs to be done to make it acceptable to all. If there is a group on almost every tee, you will be waiting a VERY long time. Most of the players there have no idea of golf ettiquette (due to them only learning), and they are very bad golfers so make sure your patience is in full working order.

The seventh hole through the trees is a corker.
