What the club says: The beautiful 9 hole par 33 Melbourn Golf course has all the challenges experienced players enjoy, but is not too daunting for the less experienced. The course is 2329 yards in length of the white (competition) tees with a Standard Scratch index of 64.
The Orchard course is a mature 9 hole Pitch ‘n Putt course, 678 yards in length. Perfect for the experienced golfer to practise their short game and also particularly popular for beginners and families. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Good course for practice
This is a good course for beginners and experienced golfers. The course is not too challenging however is fairly narrow and has no par 5s. It is ideal for warm up/ practice round to clear the golf rust.Reviewer Rating

Fun pitch and putt
Went with my partner and a few friends who aren't regular golfers, had a blast! Really nice next step from the driving range.Reviewer Rating

Good short nine hole course
I played at Melbourn twice in July 2021, once over 9 holes and the second time over 18 holes, i.e. twice round the course. I have recently had a replacement knee operation and, after having a practice on their driving range, I decided that playing at Melbourn would be a good re-introduction for me. It is a flat course with six par 4s and three par 3s, so a par of 66 for the full 18 holes. How right I was! The course was in good condition and I felt it was the perfect course to come back to playing golf. I really enjoyed both rounds and felt a real sense of achievement in completing the full 18 holes on my second round. Melbourn is also an excellent course for both inexperienced and casual golfers who don't play very often. The clubhouse is also very good.Reviewer Rating

Small friendly course
Kingsway is a very intermediate course, with well maintained fairways and greens. The only downside is the cafe which is a franchise, the food and drink is expensive and has a very limited menu not really targeted towards traditional golfers.

Disappointing attitude from staff
Very disappointing customer service. Staff didn't seem to have any concept of wanting to create an enjoyable atmosphere for a customer. Nice compact course, but I wouldn't go back. It was a shame because I was having a great round (by my distinctly average standards).Reviewer Rating

Kingsway
A short 9 hole course that is very good for learning and practice. No Par 5's and short Par 4's. Inexpensive golf, but would not be a challenge for a mid to low handicapper. Staff are very friendly. Also includes a branch of American Golf.Reviewer Rating

Great value practice course
Kingsway is very welcoming. £10 for 9 holes is great as a local practice venue. Tee boxes fair. Fariways good. Greens good.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: )

Good short game practice
Good 9-hole course for iron practice, don't bother with a driver. Very tight course, keep an eye out for errant shots from other fairways.Reviewer Rating

Good short course
I played at Kingsway in October 2018 because my usual partner couldn't play with me. It was an opportunity to practise my shots on a course that offers a decent but not difficult challenge. It was ideal for that but it is also a good course for a beginner to upgrade to after playing par 3 courses but before going on to full 18 hole courses. Kingsway is a 9 hole course that you can turn into 18 holes by going round twice. I had a very enjoyable and useful round.Reviewer Rating
