What the club says: Situated to the west of Edinburgh, Kingsknowe golf club is within easy reach of all Scotland via the Edinburgh City Bypass and M8 and M9 Motorways. Originally designed by Alec Herd, the 1902 Open champion, the course was later redesigned by James Braid.
The parkland golf course in Edinburgh is laid out over and through the valleys of gently rolling hills on which Oliver Cromwells army gathered to bombard Redhall Castle in 1650. This golf course comprises several tough dogleg par fours throughout the 18 with the feature hole coming at the 460-yard par four sixteenth.

Certainly worth a visit.
Great course layout. Lovely surroundings. Course looking and playing very well. Greens in great nick. No catering facility, expect coffee vending machine before 11am(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 82 Handicap: 14.6)

lovely course
it's one way to get build up your calf muscles. each hole is very unique with a lot of up and downs on the way. all staff were very welcoming and helpful with the layout. greens played quick considering the downpour the night before.(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 21.6)

Got a good deal and was pleased to see the course was back in decent nick. Not the longest but there are 3 testing 400 yd plus par fours and a couple of driveable par 4s too so the option to score well is there if you can keep it straight.

A nice course but I found the greens to be inconsistent. Shame about the temp par 3 which unfortunately ruined the found for me. The highlight for me was a 2 on the last hole.

Great course with some blind tea shots. Very well kept course in immaculate condition. Would definitely recommend playing.

local courser for me, i normally use it for the driving range after work most nights. Small family run busioness which is always nice and polite. U can also opt to play only 9 holes

Fantastic parkland course with lots of interesting holes. We saw 2 lots of deer when we played and they just stood and watched us play our shots ! Tricky opening Par 3 hole which is surrounded by bunkers. Lovely clubhouse and the staff and members that we met couldn't have been friendlier.
