What the club says: With 3 Championship courses the Club can offer 3 totally unique options and challenges to the golfer.
· Mahony’s Point the shortest of our three courses at 6,800 yards is a lakeside course with spectacular views including the famous, breathtaking 18th described by Gene Sarazen as “one of the most memorable holes in the world”.

· Lackabane, opened for play in 1999 is a Parkland course providing an excellent golfing challenge with enough water hazards that add both beauty and danger in equal measure.

· Killeen, the jewel in the crown, re-opened in 2006 offering both spectacular lakeside scenery and also challenging golf to long hitters with water features on nearly every hole and fast greens. Nick Faldo, on winning the first of his two successive Irish Opens in 1991, was one of only three players to finish under par. That was before the changes in 2006 which will provide an even tougher challenge.

Beautiful scenery and fantastic course

The course was in very good condition - fairly breezy but a windy day would have made this a very challenging course. Friendly staff and certainly worth a visit,

Beauty in the rain

Killeen golf course is a beauty on a fantastic setting. The condition of the course is superb, greens were fast and fairways were in great condition. We got a lot of rain but it did not take from the experience. The sights of lakes, mountains and wild deer made this course one to remember.

Kerry’s best Parkland Course

Killeen, a host of several Irish Opens, is a superb course. Staff are friendly and snack bar is excellent, albeit comes well 8nto the back 9. Deer roaming throughout the course is an extra positive feature as are the lakes and many boats. You cannot enjoy anything more than a round of course in excellent condition.

The Beauty of Killarney

Mahony's Point is meant to be the weaker of the Killarney courses but after my experiences of this course today I really wonder. Ok it may theoretically not be as difficult as Killeen but it is undoubtedly a challenge and a real test of golf. The beauty of the lakes, the stream flowing through and the welcome backdrop of the mountains makes this a must for visiting golfers to our beautiful county.

Always add this to your visit to ten South West of Ireland if you are trying to mix a parkland course to ten world renowned links courses. The views of lakes and mountains are exceptional. The wild life to be seen on this course and nearby is something to be treasured.

Staff are very welcoming. Third time playing the course. Calm day but wet under foot. Opening holes are some of the best I have ever played. The scenery can put you off your game because it is so beautiful. I look forward to coming back.

Excellent Course and facilities. Views are second to none and on a clear day this is a fantastic once in a lifetime course. Some really nice holes, wide fairways but with some tricky OOB near the lake. Trees can come in to play also but the greens are in good condition and hold the ball consistently.

this a great course and a great club, good enough to host the irish open and relaxed and friendly enough for anybody to play. the whole course is in great condition and I've always found it like this. the only drawback is the lack of a range (there is a members only one if you know where to look)

A fantastic course with beautiful settings that is still showing some of the signs of the significant damage that was done over the winter months. The recovery so far has been superb and a few more fine weeks could make a real difference. The greens were superb on a beautiful sunny day.

Very impressed with this place. I generally play links courses when in Ireland, but found myself at a loose end in Killarney so called the club to see if they could accommodate me. They genuinely couldn't have been more helpful, including a reduced twilight green fee. Killen course is excellent with a lot of water in play. The par 3s are outstanding and exciting, particularly the almost island green 10th. The scenery is the most stunning I've seen on a parkland course, with continuous views of the lakes and mountains. Loved it.
