What the club says: Hennerton Golf Club is set in an area of Outstanding Beauty in tranquil countryside in Berks overlooking spectacular views of the Thames Valley.

The club expanded to 18 holes in June 2006 having originally opened as a 9-hole course in May 1992.

This parkland course undulates over mature landscape on well-draining chalky soil ensuring the maximum amount of play during winter months.

Friendly and welcoming, all facilities are open to non-members: covered driving range with pop-up tees; bar and restaurant with panoramic views of the course and Pro-shop stocked with golf essentials.

Very good

It is a very friendly club, with great food and facilities—a large car park. A course in good condition with challenging holes.

Hidden Gem!!

What a great course. There are some beautiful-looking holes, and all staff are friendly, as are members. Challenging but fair, in very good condition.

Quirky course

Much shorter than most courses but not to be taken lightly. Greens fast and true. Perhaps a bit pricey compared to other comparable longer courses.

Tough conditions

Expected the course to be quite difficult given the weather but the back 9 holes, in particular the last 7, were very muddy. Also very long grass on some of the fairways and just off the green making it difficult to find balls. Greens average and a bit bobbly in places. However, great value and membership verty friendly.
Beer a bit pricey at £5.80 a pint of local brew.

Great fun

A group of mixed ability golfers played on 6th October. The course was lovely with amazing views and the mix of short holes and changes in elevation made for a memorable afternoon. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was great value and a good day out.

Good value course

Very short course but don't be deceived as has difficult holes including par 3's, 4's, and 5's. Also offers spectacular views across the countryside around Berkshire.
Some very steep holes and so take a buggy unless you're pretty fit.

Confusing

A very scenic course with beautiful views over Berkshire, however the lack of signage/delapidated signage made things confusing. We saw a few other players also confused in-between holes. It's a physically challenging course with lots of hills.

Missed the basics

Some nice greens in beautiful surroundings but misses the basics. Simple signage saying where the next hole is. Everyone was confused and asking where to go. Routes to each hole was more like orienteering. But beautiful views and some decent holes

interesting course

Short course with several par 3's but don't be fooled as they are not easy and some of the holes on the back 9 are as difficult as you would find anywhere. Course in great nick as well.

interesting course

Short course with some interesting holes. Front nine have too many par 3's but back 9 more typical of other courses and have some difficult holes. Fairways and greens in good nick.
