What the club says: With trees, ditches and well maintained greens you will find this course a truly testing and enjoyable golfing experience. There is a small club house where catering and licenced bar facilities are available by prior arrangement. Also close by there are other ample facilities for food and drink throughout the year.

Having said that, our group hasn't played at Haltwhistle before and we wanted to try somewhere new. Putting the greens to one side, the course is in a beautiful, peaceful, countryside setting and has many visually appealing driving holes with elevated tees looking over sculpted fairways. On a clear sunny day it must be stunning.
The staff at the course were very freindly and the changing facilities are clean and tidy, and exceeded my expectations for a remote course such as this.
If the greens could be improved this would rate as one of the better courses i have played - but for £10 all day this still represents an enjoyable day out.
