What the club says: Greenmount Golf Club was founded in 1920 and has seen much extension and development since. It is an enjoyable, undulating parkland course, situated just 3 miles north of Bury. At 5,824 yards with a par of 70, the course provides a good test for golfers of all levels. Mature trees, streams and thick vegetation add considerable charm to a day’s golf but they are also there to test you! They have been incorporated into the layout so that care and accuracy are demanded on many holes.

Tricky track
Course in excellent condition, greens appeared fast and consistent. Could be tricky to find your way around, no pro shop but Mr captain happened to be around and provided us with course card, course map and friendly advice, very warm and welcoming. 3rd and 4th holes require pinpoint accuracy or you are gone but the rest of the course a little more forgiving, although don’t go left on the first past the clubhouse. Tricky for my standard of golf (rubbish) but still enjoyable to get round and no major hold ups which usually puts me off 9 holers.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 109 Handicap: 24.6)

Very well maintained, lovely greens. Good test of fitness as most holes are up or down the slope. Only issue was the bottleneck around the 3rd/12th green and 4th/13th tee - and it was quiet.
