What the club says: Glenrothes Golf Course is an eighteen hole course, 5857 metres long (6406 yards) and a par 71. The course occupies a prominent position on the high ground to the west of Glenrothes. Constructed in 1967 it is set in mature parkland and remains in excellent condition throughout the season.
The back nine is challenging with a burn crossing four fairways. The wide fairways offer plenty of opportunities for the long hitters and well-maintained greens allow birdie opportunities to those with a good short game. The course provides enjoyable and challenging golf for enthusiasts at all levels of ability.

Good council run course
The trust who maintain the courses for the council are doing a fantastic job as the course is in great condition and worth a visit if you have never played, word of warning back 9 is very hilly if you struggle with hills this might not be the course for you.Reviewer Rating

Good challenge but hilly back nine
Enjoyed the course with the 11th and 12th holes - challenging enough with their hilly layouts and stream - being memorable. No holes for putting practice and a slow four-ball in front of us were the only let-downs.Reviewer Rating

Front 9 is different from back 9. Overall good day out. Club house is dated but very friendly and welcoming. Would strongly recommend this course. Y
