Try it you know you want to

Where do I start, not a course to take lightly. I loved it but it was difficult. It feels like you are playing on your own because the dunes are so high, the fairways are undulating and disappear over the horizon. Will play it again next year, just to try and find some of my lost balls, the course and clubhouse are fabulous.

Smashing course. Played off white with a group on first day and my game wasn't up to it and struggled the whole way around. Played off green on second day and way able to play to a better level. Great course; very challenging and smashing location.

The first thing to be said is that this is an Irish links, not a British one. This means huge dunes and constant changes of elevation. This is a cracking links course, with dunes almost as big as Carne down the road. An excellent routing and some spectacular views of the beach and ocean. The par 5 2nd is an epic, rolling trek between the dunes but the par 4 12th and 13th are easily the best holes on the course. 12 is a blind tee shot followed by a precision approach to an elevated green. 13 has the tee shot that most of us amateur golfers dream of. A drive from the top of a huge dune down to a sloping fairway seemingly miles below. Clear the rough and a nearly nailed on 300 yard drive is yours for the taking. The clubhouse and staff are also very welcoming. Combine this place with County Sligo and Carne and you'll have played 3 of the best links courses in Europe.

Spectacular Golf Course, very tough in high winds but excellent lay out and lots of blind shots with the Dunes in the way. Great views across the bay and a nice clubhouse to match a must play!!
