What the club says: The golf course is almost unique as it consists of ten holes. Eight holes have to be repeated, but there is little chance of repetition as the tees used present each of the replayed holes in an entirely different prospective, therefore ensuring a true test of golf.
The course lies adjacent to the sea and very seldom can be played without the elements exerting considerable influence.

Enjoyable round
Played on a holiday trip. Course was in good condition, but playing off mats from the fairway. Some interesting holes with the 6th being the most memorable, only short at 122yds but straight up a hill with the green on the top. Would play again. Only downside was there was no food & the bar was closed when I came off the course (around 3pm)Reviewer Rating

However, when checking the visitor information for this club, I was disappointed to see that they seem very firm on all visitors possessing a handicap certificate as well as proof of club membership. Their use of the term 'bona fide' suggests to me that they would not accept an internet based handicap, either.
In my (admittedly limited) experience, club membership does not always equate to courtesy and adherence to etiquette.
I know many clubs used to take this approach (to keep the 'municipal gangsters' away, as someone once said in jest), but its the first club in a long, long time I have seen who seem to persist with the policy.
Or maybe they just don't want my green fee!

The 7th green is surrounded by a dry stone wall. Its a very cheap coarse to play and worth the £15 just for the experience. The views on the coarse are breath taking looking out over the duddon estury & the mountains of the Lakedistrict.
