What the club says: Designed by the late Eddie Hackett and similar in many parts to Muirfield, this huge links course is reached via a long narrow road which takes you out to the peninsula on which it is built, leaving you no shelter from the elements. One hole to watch out for is the par 3 5th, known as 'The Valley of Tears'...this course has the power to make or break your game.

Fantastic Course

Donegal delirium
Donegal golf club is a very traditional links course. An absolutely fantastic layout, long winding par5s incredible mix of par3s, and great par4s. Bring your A game, as this is a tough track to play to your handicap. Choose your tee boxes carefully as this will add to your enjoyment immensely. A must play if you are a fan of Links Golf.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: )

This is a long course, but an enjoyable one. Smaller dunes and less elevation changes than other west of Ireland courses but the length keeps it challenging. The stretch 5 through 8 is particularly good, where the dunes do come into play. 5 itself is a cracking par 3. The clubhouse and staff were very welcoming.
