Challenging
Course plays over undulating and scenic terrain. Greens are great surfaces but on the day we played (mid October) rest of course was saturated with most bunkers flooded of marked as GUR and out of play. The course is relatively modern but not enough money or foresight was employed in anticipating the drainage that would be required for the course. It is a good course but better in dry conditions no doubt.Reviewer Rating

Course was completely waterlogged and in my opinion should have been closed. Worse than a pay and play municipal course. Rather than call us and let us decide to defer the trip the club just took the money. AVOID no drainage this course is probably only worth a visit June / July / AugustReviewer Rating

Just us boys in a 4 ball playing Saturday (Old Course), Sunday (Woosnam Course) and Monday (Old Course).Great weekend with fab company. Luckily weather was exceptionally good.
Courses are superb. Rooms lovely and food very nice. Only thing for me was perhaps more signage of directions to next hole as being first timers we did go awry some times. Otherwise was brilliant. Will likely be back next year.

Quite wet in places
Course was suffering a bit due to the weather, which with traffic made it quite muddy in places. Greens were a bit inconsistent, some running fast but others, again due to wetness, were quite slow. A good challenge but I don't think the weather has done the course any favours.Reviewer Rating

Great course but too much standing around waiting
The Woosnam course is a great challenge, but on the day we played it we waited on far too many shots while groups in front thrashed around or spent far to much time looking for balls. The Woosnam is a course that needs a handicap limit. I know that's not going to happen because they want to sell golf packages, but it could cost them in the long run if 5 hour plus rounds are the norm.
Following day on the Old Course was a joy, done in under four hours because the groups in front of us decided not to go out in the rain. It's a really nice course.
The food in the hotel is excellent as are the rooms.

Not quite up to scratch
Unfortunately the courses were flooded in a number of places.Frequently up to ankles in mud and water. Greens were in good condition and fast moving.Im sure this is a fabulous place to play golf when it's dried out just not the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. All the staff were great particularly Darcie in the pro shop who was super helpful and friendly.Reviewer Rating

Nice Course but a bit boggy
The course and facilities were very good, Unfortunately due to heavy rainfall the course was a bit boggy off the fairways but in good condition otherwise. The course is a challenge with some lovely holes especially some of the Par 3'sReviewer Rating
