What the club says: Corby Golf Course was opened in 1967 by Tony Jacklin. It was designed by Fred Hawtree, one of Britain's finest golf course architects. Corby Golf Course is open to all as a pay-and-play course or our season tickets offer exceptional value.
The 18 Hole Course is 6,677 yards long off the back tee, with a par of 72. The fairways are wide, with generous light-rough margins. But there are also water hazards, mature trees, areas of thick rough and 58 sand bunkers - all ingeniously sited and shaped within Hawtree's challenging design.

Priors Hall.
This could be a very good course, if it was looked after and maintained better. Some tee boxes looked tired and untidy, as did most bunkers. If bunkers are in play make sure the sand isn't compacted please.Reviewer Rating

Priors Golf Course Corby
Got phone call at 7.30am the morning of my tee off to stated back nine was closed, thought that was a nice touch rather than waiting for me to get to the course. Considering all the rain the course was in decent condition and the greens were really good. Some work going on in the bunkers to improve them and relaying of some tee areas will definitely be a benefit when the course opens fully.Reviewer Rating

Interesting course
My first ever visit to this course, playing with a fairly large society (16 of us this time). The price we paid included a full English breakfast (buffet style), and I saw from their advertising that they offer a discount for groups of 12 or more.Fairly small carpark, which meant many cars were parked on the approach road, and they also have an overflow carpark a few hundred yards before the main one. The entrance to the course itself was fully fenced off, with a keypad entrance, which I have never seen anywhere previously. Practice facilities were quite limited, but adequate.
A downhill starting hole set the tone with a wide fairway, which was similar to most of the holes. The final hole finished uphill, and the course itself was quite undulating, but not too tiring for most of us.
There seemed to be quite a few new bunkers which didn't show on my Garmin GPS, and the ones I went in had enough sand to play a proper bunker shot, but apparently this wasn't always the case according to some of our other players. Some were also marked GUR, so it's possible there is work in progress going on.
I found the course to be good, and would willingly return.

Nice parkland course in great surroundings
A very nice parkland course in great surroundings. For a council run pay and play public course it is one of the better venues in this category. A good challenge, great layout of holes, good greens despite the poor weather recently and a reasonably stocked shop. The staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming. The food was also most enjoyable. A good visit. The one downside was the inflated price for the bank holiday, which really wasn't necessary. Shame but didn't ruin the day.Reviewer Rating
