What the club says: Chiltern Forest Golf Club nestles in the Chiltern Hills on the edge of Wendover Woods. The course is challenging for all golfers and boasts some of the finest views in Buckinghamshire. Chiltern Forest is a friendly members club with excellent facilities and a warm welcome awaits all visitors.

Although the course is only 5760 yards long off the white tees, don't be fooled! It plays every yard of that due to the hilly nature of the course. Try reaching the par 4 9th in two shots; your approach shot to the 16th green is all uphill, so you will need to carry it the whole way.

Very good, greens were in lovely condition. Rough was challenging. Great Guinness in the clubhouse after though!

Challenging Walk

A very challenging walk, but what a superb golf course.
Not for the faint hearted & if you have any issues walking you may need a buggy.
Aside from that what a lively parkland golf course. Hardly a flat lie in the place, but that's what makes it so good.
Irs very tight in places & you may want to adjust your club selection accordingly.
Some won't like it due to the blind shots & fairways crossing each other, but they'll be missing out on a treat.
Very slow the day we played, but we may just have got unlucky.

Beautiful but slow

The course is beautiful, and really hard work. You never play a ball on the level.
However, the play was really slow, and on a cold day we were freezing by the time we had finished.
At one point there were 3 groups waiting to tee off.
No marshalls to hurry things along.

Love the range of kinds of holes on the course. Very little mud in evidence despite the recent overly wet weather. Tees were all off mats which is ok but tees not always easy to place. Greens were more than passable & overall well worth the journey with so many other courses still shut or not allowing trolleys.

This course comes under the heading of Hidden Gems. With a hidden greens and a couple of holes that are played from elevated tees across another fairway it is full of interesting holes and all, as the name would suggest, surrounded by tall trees and wonderful views. Certainly a course I am looking forward to returning to next year.

Impressive

A picturesque gem within a forest setting. Immaculate greens and tidy tee boxes with manicured fairways. A vast array of differing holes, not typically found on other courses.

Stunning and Challenging

One of the best situated courses with stunning views over the Chilterns. Very challenging, particularly if you are unfamiliar with some of the blind shots
