What the club says: Located on undulating parkland, the course offers a picturesque outlook - from just about anywhere on the course there are superb views out to the North and West. The club was established in 1895 and is one of the oldest in the area. The James Braid designed golf course is played over undulating parkland and offers a challenge to all levels of golfers. The course is surrounded by picturesque and panoramic views of the City of Glasgow, and you can also enjoy the fine views towards the North West and Loch Lomond.

Played on Saturday afternoon and had an enjoyable two ball. Course was in good condition. Fairways where in good conditions and the greens were true if not a little fast.

Another fine south Glasgow course with some entertaining holes. As it is quite slopey, several of the fairways are at an angle which can be fun/irritating (delete as appropriate). There is considerable variation in the holes, so it is never boring.

The members are helpful and friendly and possesses a good clubhouse.

South Glasgow does it again

Glasgow does well for golf courses of all sorts, particularly south of the river, there must be eight at least within five miles of Cathcart.
This is a well maintained parkland course in a very elevated position in Clarkston with great views over the city and the southern edge of the highland hills. It is, in the main, a comfortable playing course with a few traps and challenges to catch the unwary. It seems to be quite busy, but that is maybe not a bad thing.
