What the club says: Following a recent redevelopment project, Castlebar now boasts an 18-hole course which members and architect Peter McEvoy feel is second to none in Connaught. The new layout provides a unique challenge to every calibre of golfer. The expertly shaped greens and tees provide a fitting compliment to the tree-lined fairways of the 91 year old site on which the course has been constructed.

A mostly interesting parkland layout, with some very tricky greens. Water comes into play on a number of occasions and the route is well planned.

Lovely course to play greens and fairways in good nick with no blind holes to surprise anyone.

the course was in superb condition, greens immaculate the whole course well.maintained and very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.
