What the club says: We are quickly emerging as one of the best golfing facilities the North West has to offer. The golf course provides golfers of all skill levels with a very enjoyable yet testing challenge. Highly manicured and contoured greens are a real delight to putt on, but make sure you avoid the numerous bunkers and water hazards that await to punish errant shots.

Booked via the Lough Earne Resort. Made to feel welcome by the pro and members. Driving range facility for practice before the round. Fairways in excellent condition. Greens very good, ran very true. Good variety of holes. My only criticism would be the lack of a yardage book which would definitely have helped with unsighted hazards at times.

This course is a good test of golf for all standards. Over the year (2008) the par of the course has been changed from a 72 to a 70. Some new holes have been added, others changed or taken away. The par 3 11th is a new hole over water to a long but narrow green. There is a driving range with a bucket of balls costing £1 for 25. With a practice area to sharpen your short game skills with a sand bunker.
