Good value tight course
At £10 for unlimited golf in as day this course is OK. Alright the tee boxes are a little uneven and / or bare. The greens are not the best but the fairways are good. The layout of the course makes for a real test. Greens are relatively small which means some great practice rounds. I say its worth a visit for a quick 9 or 18 practice round but you wouldn't play here for a special round.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 27.9)

Magical course
A very tricky course, tough rough. If you don't like a course that's just up and down then play Briggens Park. positioning is everything here. It make your game better. 10 out of 10.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 19.6)

Worth playing
First time I have played this course, it was obvious that all staff work hard to keep the course up to standard. I found some of the holes very demanding but enjoyable, the greens are undulating and testing but very enjoyable . But the green fee is great value for weekday unlimited play.Reviewer Rating

Summary: overpriced, rude staff, poorly kept golf course.
I have been going to Briggins for the past two or three years. I liked it because it was really quiet, which meant we didn't have to rush. Also we aren't particularly good so it felt like there was less pressure, plus my grandad is quite old and can't walk very far, so we saw it as a 'cheap and cheerful' short course. There's a reason it's quiet, it's an awful golf course. The greens are poorly kept; some are covered in leaves, some have large patches of cracked dirt, ALL are smaller than any proper golf course green. In the summer months the fairways are relatively well kept (in comparison to the greens) but I played a few times in the winter months and the fairways were completely overgrown, we actually managed to lose balls on the fairway!
As I said, we didn't mind that the course was a bit shabby because it was quiet and we weren't particularly good anyway. I also thought it was good value at £10 because I know proper golf clubs can charge green fees of £30 or more (I was very, VERY wrong).
On the other hand, I did mind when the man running the course was rude to myself and my elderly grandad on several occasions. One particular memory comes to mind: I arrived at the course to play a round on my own, I was the only car in the customer car park and the ONLY player on the entire course, I was wearing my golf shoes, some chino shorts and a tee shirt (plus carrying my full set of golf clubs). Having already paid for the round, I was then informed that I "shouldn't be wearing a tee shirt", I should have been wearing a collared shirt. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER ON THE ENTIRE COURSE FOR MY COMPLETE ROUND. The last straw was when my cousin came to play golf with myself and my grandad, he was rejected for wearing denim shorts (with a collared shirt) by the same rude, old man. I say 'rude' because I don't mind people being rude to me, but I draw the line when they are impolite to my well-meaning grandad.
Strict dress codes are something I understand, respect and appreciate at proper golf clubs, with a large membership contingent, a clubhouse with a bar, restaurant, driving range and pro shop. This level of snobbery is unpleasant and unnecessary at a glorified pitch-and-putt like this.
After we were rejected for my cousin's denim shorts, we Googled some other local golf clubs (we're based in the Harlow area). I was absolutely amazed to uncover the quality you can find if you browse around! I don't want to praise any club in particular (it would seem biased in a review), but for a similar price (approximately £10) you can get 9 holes on some fantastically well-kept and friendly golf courses, within 20 minutes of the Harlow area. We have been to 2 such courses since. They have both been a similar price and a similar distance away to Briggins, but they were much better kept and so much more friendly (the guy on the desk just laughed when we told him about the denim shorts incident). It's safe to say we will never be returning to Briggins and I recommend that you go elsewhere.

I have enjoyed this course for a couple of years now and it has helped my game develop. The down side of my game improving is I am finding the greens a bit in need of some work, however the groundsman are working on this and the course continues to improve all the time.

Couse is good. Some holes are a challenge. Greens could be better. Tough rough.
