In the rough on the fairways
If you like playing on a course where every shot barring putting is played out of rough this is the spot for you. Potential 9/10 actual 1/10Reviewer Rating

No pro shop
Played there yesterday and generally had a nice round but the course seems to be on it's last legs. Bunkers GUR due to lack of maintenance and some greens lumpy and patchy. There are two different routings around the same 18 holes which confused us. Each tee has two different hole numbers, one for the Bay Course route and the other for the Heritage Course. I had thought there were two different courses but no, it's just two different ways of playing the same 18! As per the title there is no pro shop and no golf items on sale so take plenty of balls and a glove with you if you need them. The upstairs bar deals with green fees etc but have no knowledge about the course. I played with my wife and son but we saw groups of 5 and 6 playing together at different parts of the course. There are some very picturesque holes on the coastal side of the course but many others are quite featureless and not very memorable. I used the East Coast Passport scheme so it only cost £25 each but I don't think I'll be rushing back ??Reviewer Rating

A transformation , worth a visit
This course has suffered over the past few years with a severe lack of care. This year has seen a positive transformation and the course is starting to look and play like a proper course. Some bunkers still require attention, but they are getting there. Worth a visit now and the views on the back nine are stunning.Reviewer Rating

Never again
Very disappointed, fairways needing cutting ,lose your ball in the first cut of rough. Majority of bunkers have grass growing in them , greens terrible state . Only plus point was course was empty. If your thinking of going save your money.Reviewer Rating

Good Deal
This course has been panned in recent reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. There are a couple of bunkers that were overgrown and perhaps should have been marked as GUR but most of the bunkers were fine, the greens and fairways were in good shape and the course provides a good challenge.Don't be put off, the course is excellent value for money in a lovely cliff top setting.

Lovely links course
Played August 10th. The Pro did warn us that the greens had been hollow tined and weren't as smooth as they'd have wanted but to be fair, they were perfectly playable and true. Went off the 10th to avoid an unexpected queue and saw hardly anyone else on the course. Paid ?15 for a twilight rate which is excellent value for money. The fairways are wide enough, so the blame on losing 2 balls was firmly with me. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.Reviewer Rating

Great Links Course
The wind was up, so the linbks course played very difficult as it should!! The fairways were hard and fast as you' expect and the greens were like lightning.Overall in good condition, just 1 temporary green on that was ver poor (about 6 foot in diameter and a cup like a bucket).
