What the club says: The greens are amongst the finest in the area and the course is very popular with holiday makers and golfing societies. The course is relatively short, measuring 4,935 off the medal tees, but it will test golfers of any standard.

Braemar Golf Club was founded in March 1902, during the latter part of the golfing boom in Scotland. Inititally a nine hole course was created and over the years this was developed into the wonderful eighteen hole course and clubhouse with full facilities.

One of my favourite courses

The setting for this course is amazing - the highest in the UK. I play it on holiday every year and enjoy it more each time.

Stunning Location

Beautiful course in the Scottish Highlands. Friendly and helpful staff.
You really need to take a camera with you for this one as the views are simply stunning from almost every hole.
Quite a few long par 3?s, especially for an oldie like me who barely hits 220 off the tee????. Most levels of player will find a challenge somewhere on this course, be it reaching the elevated postage stamp green in two on the 2nd hole or the elevated green on the short par 3 18th. I managed par here for the first time on my last round but have still to reach the green on the 2nd in regulation. I will keep coming back though.

Beautiful venue. Some very difficult, for me, par three's. Good food in the club house and a warm welcome.

Course in great condition considering nearing the end of the season. Greens fantastic. Some very tricky (long) par 3's and an almost impossible par 4 10th that requires a big tee shot and a long second usually into a headwind. Thoroughly recommend!

Very good condition, although short. Not a lot of elevation, no bunkers but streams.
