What the club says: The club is called Brackenwood because the original 9 hole course, between Mount Road and Brackenwood Lane, is located on the former Brackenwood Estate. The estate was founded in 1885 by John Evans, the son of the founder of Evans Medical.

Last Game - (Course Closed)
Absolutely gutted this was out last game here as the council have decided to close the course down. Hopefully the community can save the course and persuade the powers to be to reopen as its a great course when well maintained.Reviewer Rating

Nice parkland course
This is a great little course however, at this time of year it is not in the most playable of conditions. The fairways are currently quite wet and muddy in many places and bunkers are generally compacted.

Wirrals hidden gem.
For a public course this is a hidden gem, out of the four on the wirral this is by far the prettiest, the greens could do with the council spending money on them but this time of year (summer) brings out its best features, tree lined fairways make it a tough test especially if you cant hit a straight drive, for ?13.50 a round well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Good open parkland course
Nice open course. Due to recent wet weather it was a bit boggy in places and a couple of greens were very soft.Unfortunately the first two holes have had temporary greens all this year which makes judging distance a bit tricky

Brackenwood much improved
Since lockdown, I have played this course on a weekly basis, and compared to the last quarter of 2019, I would say that the improvements are significant.Generally, the greenkeepers have done a great job. Now all we need is for the council to sort the drainage out.
