What the club says: Whilst not long at just over 5,600 yards off the back markers, the course is a demanding par 68.
The course is lined by gorse, heather, whinstone and rare fauna and has a unique series of opening holes with back to back par 3s followed by two excellent par 5s. While not the longest course, amounting to just over 5,600 yards, it is a demanding par 68 although there are birdie opportunities especially on the way home with three par 4s under 300 yards for you to savour.

It's a beautiful course and though played in blustery conditions the challenge was fair and set up to accommodate all handicaps..Some of the views are breathtaking which made playing in the sunshine even more spectacular..

Quirky Cliff top Course
Not sure i can give the most reliable review as my experience was clouded by a wretched night prior and both mind and body were not fully up to the test. The course is short and quirky and does lend itself to previous experience rather than the first timer but I can see how many members and visitors love the variation in holes alongside some undeniably stunning views of the bay and castle. Practice facilities are limited, the clubhouse was under scaffolding but for a majority of our group the overall experience was still very good. It's well worth a try although I much preferred both Goswick and Dunstanburgh Castle if you are prioritising a trip!Reviewer Rating

Quirky and well kept
An excellent course in beautiful location with exceptional views. Course was in fabulous condition, true and fairly quick greens. Lots of blind shots but well located markers help and these just add to the round. For much of the course there is some protection from the coastal winds but I would imagine on breezier days the wind still adds a little more difficulty to the course. Friendly staff and members.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful Course
The views from almost every part of the course are stunning, Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, the North Sea Coast. It's almost difficult to concentrate, but make sure you do, the course may not be that long, but with narrow fairways and the ubiquitous wind it's very tricky!(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 85 Handicap: 11.6)

Great cliff top course
Fun on the cliff tops. It was a fine day but there was some wind which made some holes playing into it monsters for a high handicapper (yes no. 6 I mean you!)(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 22.7)
