What the club says: Old Links (Ballyliffin Golf Club)
This superb course features beautiful fairways that roll through wild dunes to create an incredibly undulating layout. It helps to have good balance, as you'll rarely find a flat lie, which adds another testing dimension to this fantastic course. The course has recently undergone a renovation by Faldo Design, making subtle changes to tee positions and the bunkers, to improve its playability and enhance the surrounding beauty. The 5th hole will live long in the memory, as the 190 yard par 3 uses an elevated green surrounded by dunes to intimidate even the lowest handicappers.

18 holes. Par 71. 6612 yards. Links.

Glashedy Links (Ballyliffin Golf Club)
A stunning layout that incorporates the surrounding landscape beautifully and offers amazing views of the Inishowen Peninsula. The Glashedy could not be more different to its sister course. There are a number of long par 4s that will require every ounce of your ability if you're to play to your handicap. It also uses huge undulating greens that are well protected by bunkers to provide a challenging yet highly rewarding round.

18 holes. Par 72. 7102 yards. Links.

Perfection. 36 holes of the highest quality. I have played 452 courses in Ireland and this is the best. I joined as a member although its 4 hour drive from my house.

Every hole was a challenge

Every hole was a challenge and you had to think about each tee shot placing in the right part of each fairway.

Stunning

Great course, playing on what I thought was a breezy day - oh no, said the locals, this is a flat calm! Greens superb, friendly people. I'll be back!

Brilliant course

Fantastic Course and facilities even though preparations for the Irish Open are in full flow. Course was closed til 10am due to frost but once we got away everything was in great condition. Only downside was, understandably, the placing the ball off the fairways. Especially when as a 21 handicapper you nail one up the middle
Wish the club all the best with the Irish Open in July.

Beautiful, rugged golf course. Greens under treatment as they all seemed to be in April, which probably explains the shoulder rate.

Played here 3 times now & on both courses each visit. Real true links golf where you have to bring your "A" game for a decent score. Both courses are fantastic & very different to each other. Everything from tee to green is what you'd expect from two of the best courses in Ireland. Can't wait to get back again in the near future.

Genuine links with really challenging rolling fairways and fantastic greens, wind was a big factor but played with a smile even though the course was difficult.
