What the club says: Founded in 1935 Ashby Decoy Golf Club was originally a farm estate and over the years has been carefully developed into a superb 18 hole golf course. Rich in local wildlife, the course provides a great challenge for golfers at all levels and is one of the leading courses in the region.

A course that has some great par 3's, having to fly some trees on a couple of them. The course had suffered from machinery issues hence the fairways and greens were not at their best, but this did not spoil an enjoyable day.

Worth a visit

Lovely course

Hidden Gem
Played ashby decoy for the first time in 20 years and also drove 35 mins to get there and it was well worth the trip out,The course is in fantastic condition with the greens running true and fast without any pitch marks anywhere.The course is tight in places and needs good course management for a decent score.Reviewer Rating

Brilliant

The best condition I have played the course. Greens great to putt on. The course is so green and no fairway poor spots. Was a member for 20 years and never seen course looking so well. A must play if you want a great golf test

Fantastic course, greens were superb and ran very true, they had subtle slops which made them tricky to read. The fairways and tee boxes were superb and the rough was forgiving as there are lots of trees which penalised stray shots. Fantastic value for money as I only paid £16. A must visit course and I will definitely play again.

Usual good challenging course. The greens not as good as usual.Speaking to pro after round, he says greenstaff are working to sort it out. Greenstaff will sort it out. It will not put me off playing again

Quite a tight course but well worth a visit. The meal in the clubhouse is worth the visit alone.
