What the club says: The course nestles among beautiful woodland with old beech and Oak trees lining each hole. With an overall length of around 6,400 yards and a par of 70, Arcot Hall offers a fair challenge to all levels of golfer, including novices, yet is a fine test for the more experienced golfer.
The course displays typical Braid features, the first nine holes are in an inner loop running more or less clockwise, and the back nine form an outer loop running anti-clockwise. Also typical of Braid are the dogleg holes, which he is said to have pioneered. The doglegs and tree-lined fairways add up to a course that calls for accuracy off the tee and careful course management.
The course has five par three holes, each of which presents its own challenge. Most are quite long, ranging from 160 yards to 212 yards with often unpredictable wind influence as the tee shot emerges from the shelter of trees. Club selection is key. The ninth, the course’s signature hole, is one of the most attractive par threes anywhere.

Always a nice course to play, 1 temp green on 17th which wasn't unexpected given recent rainfall. Slight disruption on 2 tee boxes due to ongoing & new path works which will only improve in the long term. Definitely worth a visit if you've not played there before.Reviewer Rating

Disappointing
It's been a few years since I've played here and time hasn't been kind to the course, what could be one of the gems of the area is unfortunately a poorly maintained, overpriced second or third tier course. The fairways and greens are in poor condition and despite work on drainage in recent years the course was very soft under foot in many places. I hope they can get on top of this as it could be a fantastic venueReviewer Rating

interesting course
Great course very well maintained , some tricky tee shots and greens but no blind holes so not confusing if you have never played there before...Usually quite quiet and never feel rushed ...good practise areas as well 2 putting greens and also a putting/chipping and wedge practice area hidden awayReviewer Rating

Excellent and Challenging
this is the first time I have played this course and it was well worth it. Some of the dog leg holes you have to be precise to play your tee shots for a decent shot towards the green and some of the par 3's you have to be precise(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 18.7)
