What the club says: The course was designed by the famous architect Herbert Fowler, who was also renowned for other such designs as Walton Heath and The Berkshire. Set in 111 acres of the beautiful Beauchief Estate, it provides an absorbing challenge for golfers of all handicaps and retains some of the best views of the Derbyshire countryside to be seen anywhere in Sheffield.

Course, clubhouse and pro shop excellently presented.
Visually a treat and great varied holes in excellent condition, particularly if you consider the winter / spring that we have had. Suitable for any level of handicap.

Good layout
This was a December game of golf, there was a light ground frost but it was playable. i couldn't get off the first tee as the members got priority (so I had to play from the 6th). The layout and design was very good, with some good par fives and nice dog leg par fours. There are some elevation changes which produce good shaped holes. In the winter you have to use a mat from the fairways, or play from the rough. The course must be super with all the trees in full leaf.Reviewer Rating

Society day
Brilliant breakfast the course was in very good condition to say it’s never stopped raining the greens where good am going back in the summer to give them a go when it’s at its best the staff where very polite n friendly thanks for a good society day The nags head golf society(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 85 Handicap: 9.5)

Played as it was a courtesies from our own club. Great day even if the golf was a little bit off.
Tee boxes in excellent condition, fairways superb and the greens were challenging with out being too hard
