Perfect for a Beginner
I am a new golfer, and was a little bit nervous of trying out a course for the first time. It was suggested to me Cocken Lodge may be a good place to start and after 2 rounds, I agree! A nice simple layout but plenty to contend with on the course. Everyone was friendly, the course was in good condition and a nice putting area to warm up on is beneficial.Reviewer Rating

Ideal for beginners
Lovely little course. Ideal for beginners. Great for getting your Iron game up to scratch. A few challenging greens. Overall well worth a visit for a game of 9 holes also very neat and tidy.Reviewer Rating

Great little course
Went with my daughter and she had only played 1 9 hole course previously. Conditions were great and greens newly tyned so putting easy.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 37 Handicap: )

Read reviews and wanted to test myself on a par 29 course with a coverage of around 1,700 yards, it is a short course and some par 3's are only 140 yards and the two par 4's are a little over 230 yards.
I managed to go round the course in 36 with hole's 3 and 9 my favourites, overall I enjoyed the course but £10 for 9 holes in winter is a little excessive in my opinion, especially when you can play 18 holes in the North East area for something in the region of £12-£20, much better value for money to be had, staff very nice at Cocken and the green keepers raked all the sand bunkers so they take pride in their course which is always nice to see!
