What the club says: Set in all rolling parkland adjacent to Bristol International Airport and just eight miles from Bristol city centre.

A parkland course which provides a test for all levels of player. A good mixture of tricky par 3's, tight par 4's and par 5's. Good drainage means we are open in all but exceptional conditions.

Great course in fantastic condition

My brothers and I came here on the August bank holiday and enjoyed a great day on a lovely course in really excellent condition, with a few beers in the (seemingly newly refurbished) clubhouse after. We will definitely be back!\

Exceptional

The hidden gem of any golf course around Bristol. The course and greens are immaculate. The greens run true and reasonably fast without it making a putt or approach impossible. Have played her over many years all year and always the greens are true. I’ve played at henbury and Bristol golf club and this course is far superior in its course management. The course itself is a heady mix and always fun. The 14th is the beast long par 4 otherwise a mix of challenging par 3s, par4s and magical par 5s. I love this course more than any course I’ve played. The Website is easily navigatable and booking as a guest is easy. Worth grabbing a buggy if your mobility is challenged as there are a few ‘slopes’ to manage. Book and play!

Very playable when most in the area are not

We played Tall Pines on Sunday, April 7th. At a time when even the links courses have not been open all the time and the inland courses are so muddy they are frequently closed and/or carry only, Tall Pines stands out as being tremendously well drained and with a visitor green fee of £25, amazing value for money. The greens were fluffy and slow but there were no temporary greens. Of course you have the unique experience of seeing the airliners taking off from Bristol Airport but that's part of what makes this club different. The course is well laid out with some particularly challenging par 3s. A great option when your own course is a mudfest!

Course in good condition

This course was in excellent condition considering the weather we had that week . All greens open and all fairways had been well looked after. The club house has had a recent renovation which is a credit to the owner. The bar did shut early which was a shame other than that bar staff all helpful and good atmosphere. Will look at maybe joining next year.

Best in Bristol

Having played the Bristol, both The Players courses and now Tall Pines I’ve put Tall Pines at the top of the Best in Bristol courses played so far. The condition was excellent and the greens ran true but also extremely receptive… it played well on the DGA Tour 22 and I came in with a -8 score which I put down to the conditions, the only downside was the Airport fumes but only on two to three holes! It’s a tricky little track where I could only pull a driver out the bag 3 times, once you’re out of position you’re punished so be aware to be precise… the greens played so well that I had 6 up & downs and 3 birdies, you could understand why pros get such good scores when they play on courses in good a condition as this.

Superb course conditions and very slick green. Course is in beautiful settings and plays dry most of the year. Buggies available which are good quality. Highly recommend to any golfer.

This course today played really well the greens were in superb condition and that's a credit to the grand staff what they have achieved. The tee positions we teed off on rubber mats due to the weeks before with the rain and you can see the course benefiting.
The bar was good nice female staff behind the counter and good service all round before and after our game. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Highly recommended. The price did reflect the course £27.50
