New Mizuno JPX driver causing golf pros to take note
Earlier this year Mizuno announced a raft of new technical breakthroughs in its self-named ‘Year of Innovation’ following the announcement of its new JPX850 line, and its new driver is certainly causing a stir among the golfing pros.
The timely re-introduction and evolution of Mizuno’s Fast Track sliding weight system in the JPX850 driver has gone down a storm, enabling players to customize spin rate and launch, helping all swing speeds achieve maximum yardage.
“Mizuno has brought back a driver” commented Rick Shiels, PGA golf pro and one of YouTube’s emerging independent golf club reviewers. “The driver’s striking blue lid creates a stunning and impressive look and the changeable neck options mean that users can get a variety of different loft options.”
The new Fast Track sliding system works back from the face – allowing golfers to dramatically change their spin rates and has had excellent feedback and positive results.
Many independent golf pros have filmed their tests of the driver, and bearing in mind the limited shaft options available before the February launch, it still delivered impressive and surprising results, seen here by PGA Professionals Rick Shiels and Mark Crossfield, YouTube’s leading equipment guru, who after testing it decided to replace his current driver with the new JPX850, causing a stir when he put it into play in his vlog at St Enodoc Golf Club.
Tony Scott, Marketing Manager at Mizuno commented: “It was seen by some as a bit of a risk to hold back the release date of the JPX850 driver until February 2015, but it has enabled us to generate some excellent feedback and it has gained impressive traction among followers and fans ahead of its release.”
