Clubs Support Get into Golf Drive in Northamptonshire

Clubs across Northamptonshire are making it free and easy to get into golf!

A new drive to encourage people of all ages and abilities into a sport that offers health and social benefits is being launched for 2014.

Activities on offer include free coaching for beginners, low-cost lessons and on-course experience with PGA professionals.

The Get into golf campaign is being organised under the umbrella of the Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership with additional funding support from Northamptonshire Sport.

The clubs taking part include Rushden, Cold Ashby, Overstone Park, Staverton Park, Oundle, Peterborough Milton, Collingtree Park and Priors Hall and golf equipment is available at the group coaching sessions.

The coaching on offer includes:

Cold Ashby – from Sunday, March 2 (1pm-2pm). Further details from 01604 740548

Overstone Park – from February 22 (Saturday 2pm-3pm/3pm-4pm Sunday, 10am-11am/11am-12noon) Cost - £12.50. Further details from Brian Mudge on 07989 715401.

Peterborough Milton – from Saturday, March 8 (9am-10am) (Six week course includes induction session in clubhouse at 8.30am on March 8). Further details from 01733 380489.

Priors Hall – from Sunday, March 23 (11am-11.30am, for six weeks). Further information from 07407 552365.

Rushden – from Sunday, April 13 (1.30pm-3pm). The three-week course includes a final session out on the golf course (1.30pm-3.30pm). Contact 07710 759265 for more details.
