Cleveland launch 588 driver, fairways and hybrids

Cleveland Golf have announced the launch of its new range of 588 Drivers, fairway woods and hybrids for the 2014 season.

The 588 brand has won many fans over the years and now Cleveland has ecorporated a new family of drivers, fairways and hybrids inot the brand. Cleveland Golf promises it’s longest range of metal woods to date in the shape of the 588 Custom Driver, 588 Fairway Woods and 588 Hybrid.

Cleveland 588 Custom Driver

Cleveland describe the 588 driver as their most complete and longest Driver they have ever made and it can be easily customised to fit every performance demand off the tee. Based on exhaustive testing and tour validation, the 588 Custom Driver features a 460cc titanium head, offering the greatest combination of distance, forgiveness and accuracy in any Cleveland driver ever made.

An adjustable hosel offers 12 different settings to precisely tune loft, lie and face angle – loft and lie have a total range of 3°, while face angle has a total range of 4.5°. The back of the sole has an adjustable weight screw to optimize swingweight, with additional weights are available on request.

The latest Cleveland enhanced variable face thickness technology creates the hottest flight on centre strikes and even faster ball speed on off-centre hits for maximum forgiveness. An optimal centre of gravity is provided by an advanced wall construction, allowing more weight to be positioned lower in the club head for a high, penetrating flight.

The 588 Custom Driver is fitted with a Premium Matrix OZIK 6Q3 Shaft as standard. This is a mid-launch shaft that provides an all-round combination of speed and stability with solid feel at impact. Made by Matrix, one of the fastest growing shaft brands on tour.

Cleveland 588 Fairway

Similar to the driver, Cleveland describe the 588 fairway wood as their longest ever which combines power and forgiveness in a versatile design. Tour-proven profile has optimal face, sole and crown dimensions to promote a clean, confidence- inspiring look from the turf or off the tee.

Combined with a rear sole plug, advanced wall construction allows more weight to be positioned low in the club head for a higher launch.

Cleveland 588 Hybrid

Cleveland's longest hybrid ever features a hot, forgiving face for maximum distance and Gliderail Technology for incredible playability. Tour-proven, compact profile has minimal offset for a confidence- inspiring look from any lie.

The new 588 Hybrid is Cleveland Golf’s first hybrid engineered with variable face thickness technology creates the hottest flight on centre strikes and incredibly fast ball speed on off-centre hits for maximum forgiveness. It also features Gliderail Technology, a combination of two rails with subtle center keel on the sole of the club, which measurably decreases turf drag for more lift and speed at impact.

An optimal center of gravity combined with a rear sole plug and advanced wall construction allows more weight to be positioned low in the club head for a higher launch angle.

The 588 Hybrid is fitted with a premium Matrix OZIK Altus Shaft as standard, promoting a high launch and an all-round combination of speed and stability with solid feel at impact.
