Gleneagles and the Ryder Cup - A Timeline [Infographic]

By: | Mon 18 Nov 2013

The Ryder Cup will return to Scotland, the home of golf for the first time in over 30 years next year when Gleneagles hosts the 2014 Ryder Cup. What many do not realise is that the first ever International Match between the USA and GB was played at the historic venue nearly 100 years ago in 1921.

That match is seen as the starting point of the Ryder Cup, although the cup itself was not made until 1927. Check out this great infographic charting the history of the Ryder Cup and it's relationship with the Gleneagles throughout the past 92 years..
