The most eventful seven days on the worldwide golfing schedule took place last week as three events were staged in various locations throughout Europe and America.

On the European Tour, a popular Northern Irishman won his second event in three weeks to confirm his position as one of the world’s best golfers.

In the Madeira Islands Open, an event co-sanctioned between the European and Challenge tours, an American vindicated his decision to move away from his homeland by securing a first professional title.

On the PGA Tour, a 26-year-old followed in the footsteps of compatriots K.J. Choi and Y.E. Yang to become the third Korean winner of a PGA Tour event.
