McIlroy joins the Florida elite and buys new $10M house
Rory McIlroy has reportedly purchased a huge 9 bedroom home in Florida where it is thought he and his girlfriend Caroline Wozniaki will live. The house is situated in South Florida's Palm Beach Gardens and is slap bang in the middle of the community of tour golfers that have made the area their home.
McIlroys neighbors will include Luke Donald, Keegan Bradley, Ernie Els and Dustin Johnson all of who are members of the Jack Nicklaus designed The Bear's Club. Also with a few minutes is Tiger Woods as well as a significant amount of PGA tour stars who are members at either The Bear's Club the Greg Norman designed Medalist and The Dye Preserve.
So how much is this new pad? Well Mcilroy can cover it with his 2012 winnings of $11m +. The house was on the market for a cool $10.9 M and includes a private gym, putting green, swimming pool and mooring located at the end of the garden.
