Wilson Staff DXi Superlight Driver Review
Wilson introduced the DXi Superlight driver earlier this year as part of an extensive 2012 golf range to help golfer of all abilities improve their game. Weighing a mere 269grams it's comes in around 50 grams lighter than most traditional drivers on the market which enables greater club head speed therefore more distance.
Already playing the Wilson Staff Ci11 irons along with Wilson wedges I was keen to see how the Driver stacked up against my only none Wilson club in my current bag.
On address the club head is very easy on the eye, the mat black club face gives a stealth like finish which makes you feel like you have an excellent piece of equipment in your hands.
Due to the expanded sweet spot it also allows the lesser consistent golfer to maintain the distance and control of any other driver on the market.
If you are constantly hitting out the middle of the club you will almost certainly generate extra distance as I did, now reaching 280-290 yards regularly whereas my old driver would only ever get me 270 at best.
For me the Wilson Staff DXi Superlight comes highly recommended as a game changing, distance improving Driver. The design, look, feel as well as the consistency I got instilled extra confidence in my game and this is now a club firmly set in my bag!
The Wilson Staff DXi Superlight is available in 9°, 10.5° (available in LH) and HL 12° lofts for men, while an HL 14° version is on offer for women golfers.
