2012 GolfBuddy Platinum GPS Updated
GolfBuddy has relaunched its flagship Platinum model for 2012 – making it brighter, faster and more powerful than ever.
Already boasting a class-leading 40,000 FREE course map memory and premium 50 channel satellite reception, GolfBuddy’s Korean-based electronics experts have added significantly more features, making Platinum the most sought-after handheld GPS in the world.
The resolution of the innovative transflective touchscreen has undergone a major boost, with GolfBuddy’s free full-colour course maps the brightest they’ve been.
Users will also enjoy much faster LCD screen response times, especially when changing exact pin placements via the Touch ‘N’ Move flag functionality and locating precise distances to hazards, with almost instant results now in operation.
But the technical advancements don’t end there. Platinum has been given an integrated long-life lithium battery, which at full charge delivers 15 hours of battery life – enough for three rounds.
And finally, the entire waterproof and shockproof outer casing has been upgraded, made even more resilient to the rigours of life on the course, and features a modern technical white and silver colour scheme.
Launching the new Platinum, John Ennis, GolfBuddy Europe general manager, said: “GolfBuddy continues to demonstrate its standing as the largest and most innovative golf GPS brand in the world with these major upgrades to the Platinum.
“The touchscreen, which in itself was a major innovation last year when many other brands relied on outdated toggle functionality, has been significantly upgraded with enhanced high-visibility and contrast which really bring our course maps to life for the golfer.
“And, of course, we continue to refuse to make golfers pay any additional fees or subscription charges to use the Platinum. All our worldwide maps, the largest database of any handheld golf GPS brand in the world, are 100% FREE – not just for a year, but next year and forever.”
Elsewhere, GolfBuddy Platinum retains all of its premium functions, including Dynamic Green Rotation; Stableford scoring for up to 4 players; ProPlay full game stats analysis; Auto Course & Hole recognition; Custom target recording; Shot distance measurement, yard/meter choice; and multi-lingual options.
