New Wilson Staff 88 Series BLK Putters

By: Darren Ramowski | Fri 03 Feb 2012

Wilson Golf has upgraded its classic line of putters for the 2012 season, with four models featuring a sleek new design and black anti-glare PVD finish to appeal to the modern golfer.

Inspired by the iconic 8802 putter that captured a host of Major titles, the new range of Wilson Staff 88 Series BLK putters has been updated with precision milling and built-in alignment aids. Each of the 88 Series BLK putters has its own special design features and is numbered accordingly:

  • 8881 BLK – traditional heel-toe weighted putter featuring a plumber hosel
  • 8882 BLK – timeless bladed shape with heel shaft and offset gooseneck hosel
  • 8883 BLK – toe-weighted semi-mallet with heel shaft & offset gooseneck hosel
  • 8885 BLK – heel-toe weighted, mallet putter with heel shaft & plumber hosel

“The 88 Series BLK line brings a new style to our rich history of Wilson putters,” said Bob Thurman, Vice President of R&D. “The new range upholds the tradition of proven technology and classic looks that golfers have come to expect from Wilson Staff.”

The 8885 model is available in a men’s left-handed version, plus a right-hand option for female players. The 88 Series BLK putters will be available from February 2012.
