Cleveland Golf Introduce New Classic Driver

By: Darren Ramowski | Thu 02 Feb 2012

Cleveland Golf Classic DriverCleveland Golf’s have announced what they describe as 'the most advanced combination of style and performance in a titanium driver' with the Classic Driver.

With a unique sole design and colour scheme inspired by persimmon drivers, the Classic™ Driver has a traditional pear-shaped profile with the largest, deepest club face ever produced by Cleveland Golf.

The face promotes a hot, penetrating ball flight, while MaxCOR2 technology provides maximum distance on off-centre hits.  Ultralite™ technology helps players generate increased head speed and distance with the same swing effort.

Thanks to RightWeight™ fitting, there are two different Classic™ Driver models available, each at a different weight to maximize performance and feel for every player type.

The Classic™ 270 has a club weight of 270 grams and a premium Miyazaki™ C. Kua™ 39 shaft for maximum head speed.

The Classic™ 290 has a club weight of 290 grams and a premium Miyazaki™ C. Kua™ 43 shaft for a strong combination of distance and accuracy.

“Astatically it is a great looking club. I am a huge fan of deep face drivers along with the full on persimmon vibe it has along with 21st century technology makes it a very easy club to hit. It gives me a great set of launch and spin conditions and a strong ball flight. Plus I get the bonus of an old fashion thud sound of a persimmon wood and it is very long” - Graeme McDowell  February 1, 2012 Qatar Masters

Available at retail from April 1st 2012.
