10 Picks to Win The 2025 PGA Championship
This year's PGA Championship has the potential to be a classic with the likes of Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau all coming to Quail Hollow in winning form.
But who should you be backing to lift the Wanamaker Trophy? Golfshake's Derek Clements has shared his ten picks to win.
Rory McIlroy
Certain to start as favourite after claiming the career grand slam with his Masters victory and, of course, his record here. Has won four times at Quail Hollow but it will be tougher test this week. Needs to drive well.
Scottie Scheffler
After his sensational play in the CJ Cup, which he won by eight shots while making birdies for fun, the world number one is most definitely back to his brilliant best. Anybody who finishes ahead of him can expect to win.
Ludvig Aberg
Featured Content
The Swede is one of the most exciting talents in the game. He came close at The Masters before a disaster on the final hole. Does everything well and takes the good and the bad in his stride. Definitely a future major champion.
Xander Schauffele
The defending champion suffered injury early in the year and has struggled to rediscover the form that won him two majors in 2024. But he is a quality act and can never be written off. Brilliant clutch putter.
Tommy Fleetwood
The Englishman always seems to save his best for the world’s biggest tournaments but is still looking for a first win on American soil. Drives the ball well and is a superb iron player. But needs to hole putts - and has struggled in that area.
Jordan Spieth
We have seen one career grand slam this year. If Spieth wins here then we will witness another. And it is not as unlikely as you might think as the American has shown some excellent form. Simply must find fairways from the tee.
Tyrrell Hatton
Has shown some superb form in 2025 and looks like a certain Ryder Cup starter. As always, his temperament will be the key - Quail Hollow is going to be a tough test this week. Can he take it in his stride?
Bryson DeChambeau
It was at this tournament last year that DeChambeau won a whole new army of fans after a thrilling head-to-head battle with Schauffele. There is never a dull moment when DeChambeau is around - and he simply loves the majors.
Collin Morikawa
The American is a two-time major champion who must be growing fed up of recent near-misses. He is a superb iron player - and that is going to be a prerequisite this week. Could well be worth a flutter.
Daniel Berger
After a period in the wilderness, Berger has looked like a player reborn in 2025. It is not the first time he has recovered from a slump. A tough competitor who drives the ball well and is a streaky putter who can get really hot.
