COBRA Golf Reveals New 3D Printed TOUR Irons

COBRA Golf has revealed its new 3D Printed TOUR Irons, which have deployed 3D printing technology to refine the design to deliver the forgiveness that aspirational golfers need with the sleek look and soft feel of a players blade.

Each iron is fully 3D printed from 316 stainless steel using a DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) process, a metal 3D printing technology used to build metal parts with exceptional mechanical properties and precision. This manufacturing method can produce complex designs that cannot be achieved using traditional casting or forging methods. With the original LIMIT3D irons, and now the KING 3D Printed TOUR, COBRA sought to deliver an iron that is unlike anything else on the market: a players blade that can be enjoyed by a wide range of golfers - from Tour players to mid and higher handicaps alike.

Cobra 3D Printed Irons

Similar in size to the popular forged KING TOUR irons (slightly smaller in blade length and thinner in the topline) but longer and more forgiving overall, the COBRA 3D PRINTED TOUR irons feature a complex internal lattice structure that reduces the weight of the club by 33%, allowing designers to reposition a significant amount of discretionary weight (up to 100g) lower and deeper in the clubhead to achieve the lowest CG and highest MOI possible in a smaller blade shape. The internal lattice structure, which can only be created via 3D printing technology, also provides additional stiffness and strength to support the clubface and fine-tune acoustics of each iron for optimised sound and feel. In addition, due to the significant weight savings provided by 3D printing technology, up to 100g of tungsten is positioned low in the heel and toe areas resulting in a low CG and high MOI that mirrors that of a game-improvement iron for exceptional forgiveness and consistency.

"The 3D printed LIMIT3D irons were the first commercially available 3D printed clubs, and they sold out so quickly we had to make more," said Mike Yagley, Vice President of Innovation & AI, COBRA Golf. "The new COBRA 3D PRINTED TOUR irons offer the same premium construction, performance, and feel, but will now be available as a standard COBRA model."

MSRP will be £2199 for 4-PW set configuration in RH and LH with KBS $-Taper 110 steel shafts and Lamkin Crossline grips offered in stock set configurations. A 3-iron and Gap Wedge as well as a wide variety of custom shafts and grips are available through custom order. The new KING 3D Printed TOUR irons will be available for pre-sale on 21/02/25 and available on 21/03/25 at retail. For more information, please visit www.cobragolf.com.
