NEW Callaway Ai200, Ai300 & Ti Fusion Irons

By: Golfshake Editor | Mon 12 Aug 2024

It's always an exciting day for golfers when Callaway reveals new irons, and the acclaimed manufacturer has something especially intriguing for us today.

Apex Ai200 and Apex Ai300 are forged designs that have been created to deliver greater feel, power and spin consistency, with the former being a player's iron and the latter standing out as Callaway's new marquee game improvement iron.

Within both irons, golfers will benefit from a Forged 455 Face Cup that helps to create enhanced sound and feel along with power across the face.

Additionally, the Ai Smart Face generates heightened speed and spin consistency with tight dispersion into greens to improve your accuracy. The introduction of strategically positioned MiM weighting ensures the optimal CG (Centre of Gravity) for the best launch conditions, while a Dynamic Sole Design offers better turf interaction to provide more forgiveness.

Beyond those two releases, Callaway has also presented its striking Apex Ti Fusion. This is the brand's most premium and advanced iron, being engineered for those golfers who wish to experience the ultimate in speed, feel, and control. These irons feature a forged titanium face that promotes faster ball speeds for increased power.

Delivering the performance of a two-piece iron with the consistency of a muscleback design, the Ti Fusion creates more deflection than steel, with more urethane interaction and a forged body. The characteristics of the irons are fulfilled by the advanced titanium face and hollow body construction, while the Ai Smart Face is a standout quality too.

Apex Ai200

As mentioned earlier, the forged hollow-body combined with a forged 455 face creates attractive sound and feel. This advanced forged construction is coupled with a premium design that should appeal.

The Forged 455 Face Cup delivers outstanding power across the face - ideal for a player's distance iron.

Consistency is achieved through the Ai Smart Face, which deploys real golfer swing data combined with artificial intelligence to create the most refined level of performance.

Finally, ideal launch conditions are provided by the optimal Centre of Gravity of these irons (made possible by the strategically positioned MIM weighting), while the Dynamic Sole Design enhances forgiveness.

Pricing: £1,199 (Steel), £1,299 (Graphite)

These feature a slightly larger profile that blends performance and forgiveness to offer the complete game improvement iron.

Like the Ai200, you will benefit from the feel and power of the Forged 455 Face Cup, the consistency of the Ai Smart Face, optimal launch conditions, and the forgiveness of the Dynamic Sole Design.

Pricing: £1,199 (Steel), £1,299 (Graphite)

Apex Ti Fusion Irons - What You Need to Know

Apex Ti Fusion Irons

Finally, titanium is the key within Ti Fusion, with the construction of these irons making the most of the power offered by this material aligned with the forged feel of steel.

Titanium, the same material used in driver faces, is incredibly efficient and produces a larger sweet spot in an iron than steel.

Apex Ti Fusion utilises a combination of advanced materials to achieve an enhanced feel. The titanium face allows for more deflection and interaction with patented urethane microspheres. This interaction coupled with a forged, steel body provides a unique feel that is typically only found in single-piece forged irons.

The titanium Ai Smart Face yields consistent ball speed, spin, and dispersion. The result is the performance of a two-piece iron with the consistency of a muscleback.

Ti Fusion boasts a new, ultra-premium Diamond-Like Coating (DLC) finish. DLC is more durable than PVD and produces a unique and striking aesthetic.

Pricing: £1,999
