Solex, Sports-Focussed Sun Cream, Partners with Leading UK & Ireland Courses

By: Golfshake Editor | Tue 02 Jul 2024

Solex, the sports-focused sun cream brand, has announced its collaboration with several popular venues in the UK and Ireland to safeguard golfers from the harmful effects of sun exposure, with the innovative Solex sun cream applicator now available at some of golf’s leading courses.

Despite the growing awareness of the lasting effects of sun damage, many golfers continue to neglect adequate use of sun cream while on the course. This can often be simply down to the inconvenience of greasy hands, difficulty of application, and lack of accessibility to sunscreen during a round of golf.

Solex Sun Cream For Golf

The Solex patented applicator makes applying suncream, quick, even, and hands-free; negating the greasy feel associated with regular cream and aerosol products. By simply twisting the cap and squeezing the product onto the skin, golfers are able to spread suncream evenly using the applicator. Solex’s unique saddle-shaped design ensures cream is distributed across areas that have been traditionally more difficult to protect, even when using a sun stick.

Additionally, Solex’s design has been brought to market with ease of use in mind. Its integrated rope allows for Solex to be clipped on to golf bags, freeing up space within, and placing it within easy reach throughout the round.

With the long-lasting effects of prolonged exposure to the sun becoming increasingly clear, it’s essential that golfers take steps to negate this whilst on the course. Due to the strength of protection of all suncreams reducing after 120-minutes, golfers need to reapply throughout the round to ensure full-round coverage. Solex provides the only solution to ensure this level of protection without compromising play, thanks to its unique application process.

The latest announcement will see Solex available at venues including; Gleneagles, Adare Manor, The London Club, Loch Lomond, St Andrews, and Doonbeg.

For golfers not visiting one of Solex’s in-store stockists, the product is also available online through Scottsdale Golf, allowing golfers from across the UK & Ireland easy access to the brand.
